Ibanez endorsed artist and respected guitar teacher Rob Balducci will hold a guitar clinic on Saturday, June 14 at 6pm at Musician’s Supply, 718 W. Main Street, Lexington, SC. The NY city-based axe wielder is a talented musician whose instrumental rock style blends progressive rock, hard rock and jazz fusion. Sounds like he does them all well (see following paragraph). His main guitar is an Ibanez Custom Rob Balducci RG Model. Balducci's discography includes several solo albums("Balance", "Mantra", "The Color Of Light").
I just listened to some tracks (excerpts) from this guy over at his website and I must say that he is quite a guitar player indeed! I'm hearing a tune now that has quite a phrygian feel and reminds me a bit of good old Yngwie Malmsteen with the tasteful vibrato (not the shred). Not to say the guy can't rip, but he does more than just that. He even dips into Tom Morello territory with some odd squeals and slide type sounds. Of course he's got a mellow side and has a sweet tone on a slower song called Empress. This guy is definitely worth checking out.

Wow this certainly sounds like a guitar player I need to get more familiar with!!
He has also participated on a number of other recordings including Crushing Days "A Tribute To Joe Satriani". He is on the roster of the Favored Nations Entertainment label and should have a new CD out this year.
